Detail overview
Buff Choila
Buff Choila is a popular traditional Nepali dish made from spicy, grilled or boiled buffalo (buff) meat pieces. The meat is cooked until tender, then marinated and mixed with mustard oil, crushed garlic, ginger, green chilies, and a blend of aromatic spices. Fresh coriander, spring onions, and a squeeze of lemon juice add freshness and tang to the dish. Known for its smoky, spicy, and tangy flavors, Buff Choila is often enjoyed as a side dish or appetizer, especially during festivals and special gatherings. It pairs perfectly with steamed rice or beaten rice (chiura).
